My name is Dr. John Crane and I am the director of robotic surgery at Banner McKee Medical center. About 6.5 years ago I went to bed on a Tuesday night, as usual, then awoke on Wednesday with uncontrollable pain in my low right back and down my right leg. I knew I had ruptured a disc, but I had to get on a plane for Sunnyvale, Ca. and teach a 2 day course in advanced robotic pelvic surgery. I couldn’t even get off the plane without a wheelchair. I managed to finish the course and return Friday night. An MRI on Saturday confirmed the rupture at L4 -L5.

Over the next 5 days I had 5 surgeries I had to do, as well as clinic. By that Wednesday, when I
Saw the doctor, I had already developed foot drop. He scheduled me for the next day. Immediately after the surgery the pain was completely relieved, however, over the next year I developed significant facet arthritis with low back pain. I couldn’t even put on my underwear without holding one hand on the counter. Making it through a day at work was a nightmare. I saw Dr. Donner for a stem Cell consult and was all in. He did the procedure right there. I felt very little pain during the procedure, but had a lot of back pain for about 2-3 days afterward. The pain dissipated to a large degree after that for about 3 days, then went back to baseline until 3 months out. All the sudden I would do something and not feel pain, like sneeze.

At 6 months out I can honestly say my pain is at least 80% better. It’s now been almost 2 years and it truly continues to get better. I’m working out 5 days a per week and can do almost anything. Stem cells has been amazing and I’d recommend it to anyone, and have.

Thanks to The staff, Luc Koldewyn, and Dr. Donner I have my life back.

I had stem cell therapy done with Dr. Donner and his incredible team in January. Lucanus Koldewyn was the first person I met and he was absolutely incredible. He gave me all the information I needed to feel totally confident in getting this done. He answered all my questions and was so generous with his time and energy. Once I met Dr. Donner, I knew that I was fully confident putting all my trust in them. The day of my procedure, I was so comforted by the incredible treatment room. It felt more like a place I would want to go vacation, than a place where I would be getting stem cell. They explained the entire process and made it so comfortable for me. I went into the procedure totally confident in this team and in my decision to get it done. I have had continuous support from the entire team since my procedure. They truly care about our experience, and about the success of the treatment. I recommend Colorado Spine institute wholeheartedly. This is the team you want looking after you! Thank you everyone for taking such great care of me. I am eternally grateful!!

I thought I would let you know how my stem cell treatment of January 2018 went. I came in because I had a torn rotator cuff and was told I needed a whole new shoulder. The Ortho. Doc told me he didn’t think he could hook up the new shoulder because the tendons had atrophied since I didn’t get it fixed right after I tore it plus, he had already repaired it one time before. Dr. Donner talked about putting my own stem cells in until he looked at my x-rays. He said, “Your shoulder is in bad shape.” He ended up putting my own cells in the front and back of my shoulder where it was tender.
&nsbp;
Before the stem cell I was unable to reach up and wash my hair with my left arm, or sleep on my left side, or do a lot of daily activities. I was unable to reach out to pull my car door shut or reach into a drive-up window. Now thanks to stem cell injections, I am able to do all of the above, I still have some discomforts at times but not in the severe pain as I did before.
&nsbp;
I also received infusion as I was hoping stem cell would help with my crohns which I have had for the last 22 years. I had a flare up with my stomach in April and had to have a colonoscopy in May. The Gastro Doc told me he saw no evidence of crohns. I told him about the stem cell infusions and ask if maybe it helped to get rid of my crohns but he denied that. I truly believe it helped and I also know you don’t get rid of crohns. I now have a different diagnosis of (spelling) lymphocytic colitis. I would like to come get a booster as I think it will help.
&nsbp;
Also, on another positive note, I had to have my pacemaker repositioned. The incision later became red and inflamed and didn’t appear to heal. I was cautioned to keep an eye on it. It was still red and inflamed when I had my stem cell infusion in 2018. Three weeks after stem cell the incision became pink and normal looking. As far as I am concerned the stem cell infusion healed my incision.
&nsbp;
I am sorry this letter is long but the benefits that I have received from stem cells has been wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone as I have done already many times.

A couple of days before Christmas 2018, I decided stem cell therapy was the right thing for me to do.

I have always been fortunate enough to do whatever I wanted as far as being physically active and flexible, but over the prior six months my left knee was to the point that even stepping down from the curb I was unsure of, and it was becoming more difficult to get up and down from a sitting or kneeling position. Then my left hip was becoming painful & I started avoiding stairs… This was not me!!

I visited with my primary care doctor and was told, pretty much what I expected, that I was developing arthritis and my choices were going to be physical therapy and eventually surgery.

I had a consultation with Dr. Donner at Elite Regenerative who my primary care provider had highly recommended and they were able to get me in right away.

The procedure was neither painful or invasive and the staff was so professional and made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I was home on the couch in less than ½ day. The next week I was doing what I needed to do but generally taking it easy. I could feel improvement in one month.

I am a 79-year-old lady who just returned from a great trip, walking the cobblestone streets of Soutern France and traveling to my granddaughter’s college graduation. I was able to keep up just fine with all the beautiful things she wanted to share with me about her campus and her busy college life.

I will always encourage someone to visit with the caring staff, Luc, Shannon, and Dr. Donner before making any other decision… This was one of my smarter moves!!

My left hip was causing so much pain that walking was about the only activity in which I could engage. I visited my local orthopedic surgeon and after an MRI and X rays his diagnosis was that the hip joint was pretty torn up and surgery was needed to correct it. Not happy with this diagnosis, I began searching for alternatives. Stem cell treatment was suggested but finding a local practitioner with spine cell credentials was daunting. There were chiropractors for diagnosis, partnering with nurse practitioners for the injection. I rejected this option for reasons obvious to me.

Dr. Donner had treated my spine issues in the past. He has deep medical knowledge, skill of a top rated surgeon and state-of-the art medical equipment. I was aware that Dr. Donner also was performing spine cell treatments, called to schedule a consultation and was instructed to send MRI and X rays. Dr. Donner contacted me with the news that I was a good candidate for the spine cell treatment and could likely avoid surgery. I flew from the West Coast for a consultation and had the procedure done the same day.

The procedure was a smooth as anything could be. Dr. Donner and his Stem Cell Specialist Luc are a seamless team. Spine cells were taken from my right hip, treated and injected by Dr. Donner precisely where they were needed in my left hip joint using his skill and the latest imaging equipment. The results were amazing. All of the pain was gone within a week. My post-treatment instructions were to give my hip a rest so it could heal. It did and within a month I could resume all of my prior activities including two that I really missed—cycling and running. Given that I am 78 years old I could not have hoped for more. It has been two years now and I am still going strong. No problems with that hip—ever. I am running and riding and in the gym practically every day.
